The Hepburn Swiss Italian Festa was delighted to recently host a launch of Antonio Pagliaro’s new English translation of Georgio Cheda’s The Emigration of Swiss Italians to the Australian Goldrush at Hotel Bellinzona in Hepburn Springs.

It was a full house and unfortunately because of CoVID capacity limits, there were many people who couldn’t come. Please stay tuned for another event coming up this year.

If you’d like to purchase this fascinating two-volume set, it costs $75 and can be collected locally in Daylesford/Hepburn or posted for $15. Please get in contact with us  to arrange payment and collection or delivery. The books will also be available at the Festa in October and other Festa events throughout the year.

Thanks to the generosity of the publisher, the Italian Australian Institute sponsored by Grollo Ruzzene Foundation, all proceeds of the book sales go towards the return of the Festa in October this year.
