The Old Macaroni Factory in Hepburn Springs is the oldest Italian building in Australia and in 2009 is celebrating its 150th birthday.
The fresco paintings were done between 1862 and 1864 by Giacom
o Lucini and some are easily identified as scenes from Lucini's home town on Lake Maggiore in Northern Italy.
This historic, heritage listed building is open for fascinating tours conducted by descendants of the founding Lucini family. Take a peek at the history, frescoes and amazing ambience of this great building.
