Heritage Bush Walk – Lafranchi’s Hut

Follow a maze of dirt tracks to the ruins of the original Lafranchi Homestead, which was built in the mid 1870s. To the front of the homestead is the hut, which has been repaired over the years by descendants of the Lafranchi family and used as a hunting cabin on weekends and holidays.

Each spring an explosion of daffodils and hyacinths surround the site.

A car pool will be arranged to get to the start of the walk. Wear appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes and bring a bottle of water.

Boccia

Boccia is a Paralympic sport developed from the game of bocce and is played indoors with small leather balls. The Daylesford Town Hall will resound to the noise of teams competing with plenty of enthusiasm.

Open to registered riders, the race is a handicap event co-ordinated by the Ballarat/Sebastopol Cycling Club and takes in 60km of undulating countryside providing participants with a small taste of European riding. Prizes for top ten finishers.

Entries to Ballarat/Sebastopol Cycling Club by Wednesday 20th October.
